7/21/08 - “mile music festival” a haiku by nathan meese
“on hot lawns of grass
we cooked and burned sizzled
rock and roll lived on”
what a weekend. we were so pleased to be able to play the first ever mile high music festival… especially being the first band to open up the main stage. we were lucky enough to play infront of thousands of beautiful people so early on saturday that we could check out all of the other great bands. Andrew Bird was amazing, OAR puts on a great show and, of course, tom petty killed it as i imagine he always does. what an experience.
thanks to those of you who were able to make it out. to those that weren’t able to come, fear not, we’re currently planning our next assault on the rocky mountan region and can’t wait to keep you up too late and make your ear rings with sweet sweet sweet.

Hey there,
I am a professional photographer and had the opportunity to photograph you at the Mile High Music Festival. The shots can be viewed on my website. If you’d like to use any for promotional material, website etc., let me know.
Hope to see you back in Denver soon!
