heeey.
so here’s some meese news:
today we’re being featured on KCFR’s (colorado’s NPR station) Colorado Matters program. this is awesome. we are all avid NPR-er’s and this is a really cool thing for all of us. i mean, i’m seriously stoked. this is something i’ll call my mom and tell her about. this is something i’ll tell my kids someday. i’m into it. go here and check it out if you don’t live around denver or if you aren’t able to listen to it tonight at 7PM. ALSO we found out that we’re going to do a live ‘garage session’ the day of our denver show (october 3rd, go here if you don’t have tickets yet…) for our homies over at KTCL 93.3. we love those goofy music slingers and are honored to be able to go in and do another live tunesy sesh for them and all of y’all. plus we’ll be playing ALL new songs to get people amped about the new album which i promise you will eventually hear some day. we’re also doing some radio stuff for our people up in fort collins CO but i don’t have the exact details on that yet. you’ll know when i know. other than that, we’re rehearsing new songs, putting cool new twists on old songs, playing with jeff davenport again (what up davs!) and getting ready to go to some weddings this weekend. lets all send out a big meese-ly congratulations to Christopher and Hope Dyer and Nathaniel and Jules Radcliffe. way to go love.

so click here for tickets to the october 3rd denver show
OR click here for tickets to the october 4th show up in fort collins.
august 31st.
that is crazy. i know summer isnt ‘officially’ over until sept 22 or something like that, but it always feels like september is it. to me, it feels like we’re on the cusp of something big. some sort of big change… this was the summer that we will look back at and say, “oh man, remember *insert funny memory here*! wasn’t that the best? wasn’t life so much different back then?”
and i’m ready for it. we’re ready for it. our music is ready for it. and i have the feeling that all of you are ready for it as well. atleast i hope you are.
so i’m sitting here on the couch trying to think of ideas for fliers and this show called grizzly man diaries (based on the movie ‘grizzly man’) is on and its incredible. i saw the movie a million years ago at this great small little art/documentary movie theater with my girlfriend at the time and i’m pretty sure the whole thing went way over her head. however, the documentary blew my mind and proved to be one of the most interesting films i’ve ever seen. so for no reason other than it’s on tv right now and that i have this unique opportunity to write things that people read i’m choosing to endorse it and i think each and everyone of you should netflix it or go rent it or better yet, goto a movie store and BUY IT. remember when we used to go to the store to buy things? hahahaha! (sarcastic laugh). anyways go here if you’re interested in having your mind blown by a documentary.
in a band related note - we just announced another show in colorado on saturday october 4th at hodi’s half note up in fort collins. its the night after our denver show. we’re in the midst of lining up killer support bands and we’ll let you know who they are when we get everything in concrete. talk to you soon.

soooo we havent played in denver in a long long long time and we figured, ‘hey, lets rock these people’. hence our show at the oriental theater on october 3rd! tickets are on sale now (click here to buy a bunch) and we’re still in the process of lining up some gnarly explosive opening bands… so although we’re still in the beginning stages of making this show a memorable one, we thought we’d let you know about it and that tickets are on sale and all of that. as always, we’ll give you more details as they get to us and we CANNOT WAIT TO PLAY FOR YOU!!!
see you in october, email us with any questions or ideas or thoughts or anything at all really.

thiiiiiiis close.
thats how close we are to being done mixing our new record. patrick’s been in LA all week, going over details and putting the icing on the cake with our producer, The Bev-Train. before he met us he was just a regular rock-n-roller named Sean Beavan- but as he has proven, no one spends 4 months with meese and stays the same. ANYWAYS, its sounding great and we all want to get into your hands SO bad- trust us. we’re working on it.
if you live in denver, you’ll have the opportunity to catch some meese in unconventional ways at the Denver Post Underground Music Showcase this weekend. patrick is playing drums with the band ‘Dust On The Breakers’ and nathan is playing a solo set and also doing a couple of tunes with josh novak. goto dpums.com for more info and set times and all that. congrats to hearts of palm, ian cooke, d.biddle and all the rest of our denver friends who placed on the post’s top underground list. hurrah!
mike’s going to radiohead in chicago this weekend, lets all be jealous.
ok, bye.
